Refund and cancellation policy
Last updated:
Note AI is currently free during the invite-only beta, so no payments are being taken. This policy will apply from the day paid plans launch, and it is published now so you know the rules in advance.
1. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@notesai.me. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
2. Used subscription periods
Every use of Note AI triggers AI processing (language-model inference) that costs us money immediately. For that reason, subscription periods that have started and have been used are non-refundable, including partly used months or years, except where the law requires otherwise or as described below.
3. Accidental charges: 48-hour window
We refund in full if, within 48 hours of the charge, you tell us about:
- a duplicate charge for the same plan and period; or
- an annual renewal you did not intend, provided the renewed period has not been used.
Email hello@notesai.me with the payment date, amount and the email on your account. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take a few extra days to show it.
4. Charges made in error by us
If we charge you incorrectly, for example the wrong amount or after you cancelled, we refund it in full regardless of the 48-hour window.
5. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer law. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online subscription. When you subscribe, we will ask you to expressly request that the service begins immediately and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided; if you withdraw within 14 days, we refund the price minus a proportionate amount for the service already provided.
6. App store purchases
Subscriptions bought through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store are billed by those stores, and their refund processes apply. You can request refunds from Google or Apple directly.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually resolve the issue faster.
